The New Arab - Al-Arabi Al-Jadid العربي الجديد

                                                       The New Arab.العربي الجديد

In 1995, Dr Makram Khoury-Machool (د. مكرم خوري-مخول) coined the term, formulated the philosophy and laid down the principles of a unique social, political and economic movement, which in 1998 became known as the “Movement of The New Arab”. The philosophy of the movement is based on the juxtaposition of classical Arab norms and beliefs with modern principles. Besides the empowerment of Arab women, the Movement of The New Arab is concerned with the development of education and economics, with a special focus on the use of the Information and Communication Technology. Aimed at the whole Arab World and Arab societies, Dr Khoury-Machool established, registered and chaired the party of The New Arab, an independent political party, in January 1999 and, as an initial step, introduced a list for the Israeli parliamentary elections.
